So Long, Farewell...

It's time to say goodbye...

Yummies by Audrey will be taking a break. For how long? Only time will tell as I will be embarking on a new adventure in a different country with my family.

Till we meet again, I would like to thank all my customers from the bottom of my heart who have entrusted me with their loved ones' celebration cakes. Special thanks goes out to my most cherished repeat customers who were a complete joy to work with as they gave me the freedom to design the cake based on their selected theme.

I leave you here with pictures of some of my last creations...

Goodbye :)

Turning 88!

Lately, I have enjoyed piping different types of floral decoration using buttercream. This is one of my favourites!

The "88" is done is a mix of pastel colours while the rest of the background is the original ivory colour of buttercream. Really makes the number stand out.

Buttercream Swirl Roses

An elegant decoration - perfect as a gift.

Turning 70

When a customer gives me free reign to to choose the colours and style, I usually spend more time than usual as it gives me a chance to try out something new that I have seen previously.

Floral Beauty

I really like making flowers especially large ones with ruffle-type petals.
The background was done using the corporate colour of the bank that the birthday lady works in.

Musical notes are interspersed between the flowers as she loves music.

Colourful Butterflies

I used this design for my daughter's first birthday cake and was happy to repeat it here.
A mix of 3D butterflies and some painted directly on the cake.

First Holy Communion

A fondant covered cake in a simple clean style.

Roarrr!

This friendly sweet-tooth lion is surrounded by chocolated rocks and mini cupcakes.

No cake in this lion! It's homemade rice krispies treats using rice krispies and marshmallows. Yummmmm... crunchy, chewy with a nice vanilla flavour.
Body was coated in candy-melts (tastes like chocolate) and the kids just loved it.

Peppa Pig

Cake is covered with buttercream and fully decorated with buttercream. No fondant at all. Exactly as per the customer's requirements.

Mooooo...

Covered with fondant, this cow is made to resemble the blanket-cow that the little boy likes.

My Little Pony

All decorations handmade using fondant. It was nice making the rainbow and pony!

K-Pop

An edible frosting image of the birthday girl's favourite band. Did a simple background for this budding teenager.

Easter Bunny

Decorated completely in buttercream, this bunny took quite a bit of time to draw out and pipe but the results are worth it!

Mickey Mouse

A buttercream covered cake decorated to match the party theme.

Pretty Kitty

Cat is "drawn" using buttercream and a spatula.

Disney Princesses

Hello Kitty

Edible frosting sheet of Hello Kitty is framed with matching fondant flowers.

I Want That Acorn...

Cathy enjoyed making the rocks for her own birthday cake and I enjoyed making the cracks look more realistic on the cake!

Buttercream Beauties!

An edible frosting image is surrounded by vibrant red and yellow flowers.

Something less floral for my customer's husband's birthday.

The birthday guy has taken part in many, many marathons, of which the more recent ones are printed on edible frosting sheet and decorated around the sides of the cake. A fondant gold medal for him!
